[Networking Event ] [135 Yr Celebration of VMA] [College Age Reunions]

Villa Maria Academy Hosted Networking Event
Stephanie Nolan Deviney ’90 and Stacey Benseler ’90 spearheaded the first networking event held in the event room (the cafeteria converted) of Villa Maria Academy. Alumnae Board President Mary Sheila McGarvey McDonald ‘79 and Alumnae Director Sister Patricia Spingler,IHM assisted Stephanie in her endeavor to advertise the event and to help gather participants. The evening was dedicated to the promotion of business and professional women. The Villa grads came together in a friendly and relaxed environment where the focus was on women networking for business, but where they also had some fun! The evening proved to be a huge success---ideas and business cards were exchanged, old acquaintances were renewed, and new friendships were formed. Plans will be forming soon for a follow-up event.

WE HAD A "CLASSY EVENT" 
The All-Class Reunion - Sunday, October 28, 2007

Over 400 people attended the All-Class Reunion at Villa Maria Academy on Sunday, October 28, 2007. Rev. James Flynn, OSA celebrated Mass. After the homily, new VMA Alumnae officers were installed. The Alumnae honored Maurene Moore Polley '64 for her 40 years of service to Villa Maria Academy.

Graduates from 1938 to 2006 enjoyed wine and cheese and a buffet lunch while listening to the beautiful sounds of the school's string ensemble. The afternoon was rounded out by student-led tours of the campus where Villa memorabilia was on display, including the school's original admissions book from 1872. Alumnae, who traveled from as far away as Beverly Hills, California, came to celebrate the tradition of excellence of their college preparatory school for young women.

COLLEGE-AGE Villa Reunion Photos

Villa Maria Academy hosted a reunion for college-aged graduates in the event room of the school. Students gathered for a light fare of popcorn and slushies before attending the basketball game between Villa Maria and Mt. St. Joseph Academy.
