Prepare yourself for the SAT. Students will be able to go to collegeboard.com and enter their answers to the official practice test and receive a free online score report.

About College Testing:

SAT I-Measures critical reading, math, and writing skills. The SAT is generally taken in the spring of your junior year, and if you are not satisfied with your scores, fall of the senior year. http://www.collegeboard.com

ACT- American College Test: Measures academic achievement in the area of English, mathematic, reading, and science reasoning. http://www.act.org

SAT II- Measures proficiciency in particular subject areas. Check and see if the college you are applying to requires these tests. Each test lasts one hour. You can take 3 tests in one sitting. You may take them whenever you have completed a course (e.g. AP US History). In general, these tests are taken in June of the 11th grade or October, November or December of the 12th grade.

AP-Advanced Placement Tests-Measures a students knowledge of a particular subject at the college level. AP tests are sometimes used to exempt students from a college course and/or give college credit. College policies differ on the use of AP's. Consult college admissions offices for specifics.
