Students Collect Food for Annual Thanksgiving Drive

Villa Maria students gave thanks this holiday season by giving to others in the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Sponsored by the Children of Mary, the girls collected 24 baskets – 1 basket from each homeroom — each filled with enough food for a complete holiday meal. Students brought in items according to a list provided by Children of Mary. Turkeys, pies and butter were purchased with funds from the Mission Drive. The baskets were decorated with holiday ribbons by members of the French and Latin Honors Societies and then distributed to each homeroom.

Twelve of the baskets are distributed through the outreach programs of St. Agnes Parish, West Chester and  twelve go to the program of St. Patrick Parish, Norristown. Both programs are coordinated by an I.H.M. Sister. Villa is living the I.H.M. charism  through their generous support of this program.
