Mr. Joel Crouse’s freshman World History classes took an interdisciplinary approach to the Renaissance this past week. Mr. Crouse, Mrs. Kate Brown from the art department, and librarian Ms. Melissa Norman combined forces to lead the girls through a project involving the use of original sources, and demonstrating the influence of the Renaissance on art and culture.
The girls analyzed the influence of the Renaissance on art, clothing, and other aspects of culture at the tie and into the future. Students analyzed paintings, studied the evolution of clothing. One created a journal detailing a person’s day to day life experiences.
