The girls of the Class of 2015 became members of the Alumnae association in a ceremony on Wednesday, May 27. Each girl was welcomed with a membership card and holy card, along with a stylish laundry bag they can use in college. Six of the new members were welcomed by their moms, themselves members of the association.
The guest speaker for the event was Maureen O’Connor Manfrey ‘00, who talked to the girls about the unexpected challenges she faced when she was diagnosed — as a new mother — with breast cancer. Maureen is a founder of The Big Pink Footprint, a support organization for young breast cancer survivors.
