Villa Maria celebrated Foreign Language Week on campus from March 7 to 11. Monday recognized Germany; Tuesday was devoted to Spanish; Wednesday focused on Latin; Thursday was French day; and, Friday had an Asian theme. The cafeteria offered menus themed to each day. Morning prayers were offered in the corresponding language for the day.
In addition, the French Club hosted a crêpe sale, with the $200 proceeds benefiting the French Red Cross, the first responders to the terrorist attacks in Paris in November. Many French Club students wore their French Club T-shirts bearing the words, “Nous sommes Paris.”
