This past weekend Villa’s swim team recognized their seven graduating seniors during their home meet vs. Merion Mercy. Keeping with tradition, each senior was recognized as they walked through an archway of all their teammates to honor the true team sport swimming has become. They were then greeted by their coach, Mrs. Hay, who presented each senior with a bouquet of flowers and bag of Swedish fish! Waiting next for the girls were their parents with hugs for all during this special moment. Congratulations to our seniors – Katelyn Chick, Mary Catherine Clark, Olivia Giampietro, Amy McHale, Maura McManus, Maggie McNamara, and Hope Reynolds.
After all the festivities, the swimmers continued to shine on this special day, posting a 101 – 72 victory over Merion Mercy. It was a great day for all the Villa swimmers but especially our seven seniors. They are an amazing group of girls who are going to be greatly missed next year. We wish them all the best as they get ready for graduation and the next phase of their journey at college.
