Hurricanes Win Track Meet vs. Merion Mercy


wIMG_1036The Villa Maria Track and Field Team won their second straight meet, this time against Merion Mercy, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Many Villa runners, jumpers, and throwers placed in the top three positions. First place finishers were Erin Zimmerman in the javelin; Morgan Monteith in the discus; A’sja Abron in the shotput; Sarah Raubenheimer in the long jump, 100m hurdles, and 300m hurdles; Caroline Corr in the 1600m; Isabel O’Donnell in the 400m; the 4x100m relay team of Anna Nunag, Hope Brown, Kenzie Haley, and Isabel O’Donnell; and, the 4x800m relay team of  Kenzie Haley, Isabel O’Donnell, Katie Boland, and Hope Brown.

wIMG_1041Second place finishers included Meghan Rohr in the 1600m, Kaitlyn Bui in the 100m hurdles; Kara Schiek in the 800m, javelin, and discus; and, the 4x800m relay team of Anna Nunag, Julia Ayres, Mary Kate Miller, and Julia Samar. Third place finishers included Kate Perretta in the 100m dash; Catie Mannato in the 1600m; Katie Boland in the 400m; Kaitlyn Bui in the long jump and 300m hurdles; A’sja Abron in the discus; Caroline Corr in the 800m; and, the 4x100m relay of Julia Ayres, Julia Samar, Mary Kate Miller, and Anna Fratantoni.  Great job by all the runners, jumpers, and throwers!
