On May 31st the Alumnae Association inducted the class of 2017 into the Villa Alumnae sisterhood. Many family members who are also alumnae were in attendance and welcomed their loved ones into the Association. The Alumnae presented the newly inducted alums with their Alumnae Association cards, a Villa laundry bag for college, and an Our Lady of the Highway prayer card. Sarah Noon ’06, a genetic counselor, was the guest speaker, and shared with the girls how her time at Villa has shaped her life and been the foundation for her success.
The prestigious Elinor Langton Award was presented to senior Grace McClatchy during the ceremony. This award is the only student and faculty selected award, and distinguishes a young woman who is active in her school community, a born leader, good listener, faith-filled, enthusiastic, courageous, and kind to all she meets. It was created to honor the memory of Elinor Langton, Class of 1918.
Congratulations to the class of 2017, and welcome to the Villa Maria Academy Alumnae Association!
