Villa Maria welcomed members of the Class of 2021 on Monday, August 28, with signs, cheers, games, and ice cream. Upperclassmen greeted the freshmen as they climbed out of buses and cars, waving welcome signs and cheering enthusiastically. The new students gathered in the Marian Center for an assembly, received homeroom and locker information in St. Joseph Hall, then fanned out in small groups for tours of the campus.
The girls met up again in the cafeteria to learn about their schedules, eat lunch, and complete a service project assembling snack bags for the Chester County Food Bank to use for children in after school programs. Most of the afternoon was dedicated to ice breaker games, painting a class sign, making friends, and enjoying ice cream from a visiting ice cream truck.
