The Class of 2018 cut the ribbon on their newly decorated senior lounge on Tuesday, September 5. Following a prayer service that began in the chapel before moving downstairs to the lounge, the seniors explored their new space, relaxing on couches, checking out photographs, and flopping on beanbag chairs.
The lounge features comfy couches, a refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine, and tables and chairs for snacking, studying and socializing. A blackboard wall invites creativity, and a corner of the room is dedicated to the memory of Abbey Mallon ’14, with sunflowers and a poster featuring the words from 2 Corinthians 4:18. The girls also added a handprint to the column of prints from previous classes.
The ribbon cutting included a tour of the room pointing out all the thoughtful touches the decorating team had added, along with a review of the rules and procedures for clean-up, supplies and uses.
