Freshmen spent “SAT day” in the auditorium participating in presentations from College Pursuit, a college-bound counseling service, and the Culture Project, an organization that emphasizes human dignity and love.
College Pursuit believes that starting high school means mapping out a plan to get from freshman to senior year, and eventually to the college of their choice. Each student received a College Pursuit Journal, which serves as a tool to document the student’s work, as well as guide her through the college and admission process. Speakers also addressed NCAA expectations fora student-athlete.
The Culture Project is “an initiative of young people set out to restore Culture through the experience of virtue.” Their hope is to cast a vision of a better world and invite the students to “join them” in creating it by giving them practical ways to build up the dignity of the human person.
Immediately following the morning program, the freshmen met their grandparents for the annual Grandparents Day luncheon.
