Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival Performs Romeo and Juliet at Villa Maria

Students were captivated by the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival’s performance of Romeo and Juliet at Villa Maria on Tuesday, October 24. The group’s dramatization included humorous moments that helped draw the students into the story. The annual visit from the troupe brought to life a play that the girls study in their freshman year at Villa Maria.

After the performance the actors took questions from the students, discussing how they adapted the play for an 80-minute show, how they learn their lines, and the many hours spent learning to stage the sword fights.
