Track and Field Team Wins AACA Title

Villa Maria’s Track & Field Team was crowned co-champion at the AACA league meet on May 9. The meet, held at Ursinus College, ended with a tie at the top between Villa Maria and St. Basil. Captains Julia Ayres, Hope Brown, Mary Kate Miller, Sarah Raubenheimer, and Kara Schiek accepted the first place trophy for the team.  Many of the Hurricanes achieved personal bests at the meet.

First place finishers include A’sja Abron (shot put), Kara Schiek (javelin), and the 4x400m relay team of Dylan Miller, Hope Brown, Isabel O’Donnell, and Anna Nunag.

Second place finishers include Norah Bice (discus) and Sarah Raubenheimer (3200m run).

Third place finishers include Kara Schiek (discus), Caroline Ludt (javelin), 4x100m relay team of Kalise Mack, Bella Carlucci, Faith Iacone, and Alyson Metzger, Hope Brown (800m run), and Julia Ayres (3200m run).
