Representatives from two local companies visited Villa Maria recently to deliver donations for the EITC program. Ted Jeffries, Principal, Partner and Project Director for IMC Construction (left), and Brian Forcino, Senior Vice President of Business Banking for WSFS Bank (right), presented checks to Sr. Regina Ryan, IHM.
Villa Maria appreciates IMC and WSFS, and all of the other companies that have made EITC and OSTC donations to the school. These generous donors include:
- Bryn Mawr Trust Co.
- Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools
- DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd
- Essent Guaranty, Inc.
- Foundation For Catholic Education Chester County
- IMC Construction
- RAMM, Inc.
- The National Bank of Malvern
- ValSource, LLC
- WSFS Bank
The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs allow companies that do business and pay corporate and other taxes in Pennsylvania to receive substantial tax credits by redirecting their state tax dollars to Villa Maria in support of scholarships for under-served and deserving students. It’s like sending a state tax payment to Villa Maria instead of Harrisburg, to the benefit of deserving students.
Villa Maria Academy thanks it EITC and OSTC sponsors, and invites other companies to learn more about the program on our website, or by contacting Kathy McCartney, Director of Advancement, 610-644-2551 x 1029.
