Field Hockey Players Earn Recognition, Berths on National Team

Although the high school field hockey season has ended, the honors continue to roll in for some Villa Maria players.

U-19 US National Team

Mary Harkins, Hannah Miller, and Adele Iacobucci have all made the U-19 Women’s National Team. Villa Maria coach Katie Evans notes, “It’s a huge accomplishment and identifies them as top players within the US for their age group. They will travel to tournaments to represent our country and continue training as an elite squad.”

Although the high school field hockey season has ended, the honors continue to roll in for some Villa Maria players.

All-Americans

All-State

Hannah Miller, Mary Harkins, and Adele Iacobucci were selected as 1st Team All-State, while juniors Kate Peretta and Maggie Powers were Honorable Mention All-State.

All-Region

Hannah Miller and Adele Iacobucci were selected as 1st Team All Region out of all players in the Pennsylvania region. “It’s the strongest region with the most players, so it’s incredibly competitive and a great honor to be recognized,” Evans noted. Max Field Hockey All-American, All-Region
