Track and Field Team Celebrates Senior Day

The track and field team recognized its senior members after their meet on Wednesday, May 1. Seniors were called forward and posed for photos with their family members. Team members also gave short speeches for each of the seniors, and the team enjoyed a pizza party.

The team has been enjoying a successful season. At the Penn Relays, the 4 x 800m finished 15th; the 4 x 100m and 4x400m teams ran their season-best time; and, Kara Schiek competed in a very tough javelin field.

At the Unionville Invitational, Kalise Mack was a 100m finalist, finishing in 6th place. Carol Ludt was 5th in javelin, Ally Metzger was 3rd in long jump and achieved a District-qualifying mark. Anna Nunag got 2nd place in the 400m, .14 of a second off of a District time. Sarah Raubenheimer ran 3rd in the 1600m and a chieved a personal record, and Rachel Carpenter threw a 5 foot personal record in discus.

The team will compete at the League Championships on May 8th.
