Shakespeare Troupe Performs Macbeth

The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival made its annual visit to Villa Maria, captivating students with its performance of Macbeth on Tuesday, October 22. The group’s dramatization included humorous moments that helped draw the students into the story.

After the performance the actors took questions from the students, discussing how they adapted the play for an 80-minute show, how they interpreted the play as actors for their roles, and the many hours spent learning to stage the sword fights. Members of the Theatrical Production and Design class spent time in additional discussion with the troupe afterwards.
