Seniors and their family members drove around campus in a parade on their graduation day, celebrating in person — at a distance — even though they could hold the traditional ceremony. Riding in and on decorated cars, students waved and called to each other, and to the faculty and staff who lined the loop drive to cheer them on.
After several trips around campus, the seniors were dropped of at the turf field for the traditional hat toss — again, keeping their distance and wearing masks. After the 4 p.m. parade and hat toss, the seniors drove home to watch their graduation ceremony online at 6:00 p.m.
We congratulate our new graduates and their families, and can’t wait to see them again on campus when they come back to visit!
