The Villa Maria Madrigal singers appeared at South Wayne’s PorchFest on Saturday, September 11.
“PorchFest was our first public live performance since the start of the pandemic,” said Fine Arts Chair and Madrigals director Dr. Anthony Mosakowski. “It was rewarding to sing for a live audience rather than just record a video.”
South Wayne PorchFest is a free community music festival covering almost a mile of neighborhood roads. The audience strolls from house to house to listen to various musicians perform.
Dr. Mosakowski said, “Being an outdoor performance, there was a relaxed atmosphere, and the students really enjoyed the experience. It was also nice to hear the other school groups that performed before us. We hope to participate again in the future.”
