The Hurricanes are 8-1 midway through their season, and coach Peggy Evans feels the outlook is good for the second half.
“Our Hurricanes are half way through the season and are in a good position to win our conference and be in the top 4 for heading into districts,” Evans says. “We have had some injuries and illnesses and the team is stepping up and being flexible when needed.”
The coach notes that senior Skylar Kelly leads the team in digs, and freshman Maeve Gallagher and sophomore Alana Whitwell lead the team in kills. Juniors Gabby Konrad and Ava Goryl are setters and lead the team in assists.
