Seniors Megan Sweeney, Belle Peters, Morgan Dougherty, and Brynn Zebrowski have created Project LIVE (Learn, Inform, Validate, Educate). The program creates a forum for ongoing communication between students, counselors and other faculty members regarding some of the social and emotional challenges that Villa students encounter.
This kick-off event included the introduction of Project LIVE and guest speaker Cathy Bosken Gabrielsen ’89, creator of the nonprofit Cuddle My Kids and author of Dying to Live. The event closed with a visit from the volunteers and therapy dogs at PAWS for People. Students gathered in the gym and enjoyed the comapny of three friendly dogs and their owners.
“The dogs were the ‘tail’ end of a wonderful program created and directed by several of the Villa seniors. We are so grateful for these motivated, dedicated students who worked tirelessly to make this event a big success,” said Cindy Flores, Director of Counseling.
