- Literary analysis: how to annotate and interpret a text
- Introduction to the five paragraph essay

Freshman Study Skills and Organization 101

Do you need to brush up on your notetaking skills? What about your planner? Do you need some help with goal setting and time management? If so, this camp is for you. This week will be the perfect introduction for incoming freshman who are looking to start freshman year organized and on top of it all! Great for transfer students!
Topics covered:
- Notebook Organization- this will cover: Binders, spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, Notability and note taking apps, Google drive
- In-Class Note Taking: Best Practices- this will cover: Different note taking methods (Cornell, mind map, outlining, etc.), Handwritten vs. digital notes, Re-organizing notes
- Notes at Home and Studying: Best Practices- this will cover: Taking notes from a textbook, annotating/highlighting a text/article, best practices for studying (Quizlet, practice problems, creating a study guide, etc.)
- Planning and Goal Setting- This will cover: Setting up a planner, using a planner most efficiently, how to divide your work efficiently, determining a study schedule
