The Global Student Exchange Program is a partnership with Malvern Prep that pairs students from Colegio San Agustin, a coeducational Augustinian prep school in Panama City, Panama, with students from Villa Maria Academy and Malvern Prep. Panamanian students from San Agustin who have just completed their 10th grade year attend each U.S. school for one month in January of each year during what is the equivalent of their Panamanian summer vacation. The exchange is purely cultural, but the students follow a typical Villa Maria high school schedule, tailored toward their particular interests.
In June of each year, Villa Maria students who are at least 16 can participate in a month long exchange in Panama, where they will attend San Agustin. They take classes fully immersed in Spanish language and culture and enjoy the highlights of this modern central American urban center.
