New for 2026: The VILLA VISIONARY Program

FOSTERING CREATIVE HOPE THROUGH CURIOSITY, RIGOROUS INDEPENDENT STUDY, AND PERSONALIZED MENTORSHIP

Have you ever wanted to take a deep dive into an idea that interests you outside of school?

Would you like to explore that interest in a way that may benefit others while satisfying your curiosity?

If so, consider applying to be a VILLA VISIONARY!

Program Overview

The Villa Visionaries Program is designed to inspire our students to innovate, imagine, and even make an impact on others through their pursuit of learning.

Students seeking this distinction will take coursework at the highest level of attainment, while simultaneously participating in programming that provides authentic experiences and research.

Working with a mentor through sophomore and junior years, students will design research that delves into an issue or topic of personal interest and culminates in a unique presentation that suits the student and topic.

The program offers students the opportunity to work one-on-one with a mentor to design a project and create a presentation that suits the student and the topic.

Formerly known as the Scholars Program, the Villa Visionaries Program has been updated and refreshed for 2026.

What are the academic and Senior Capstone incentives?

Villa Visionaries earn .5 elective credit for each year of participation; pass/fail.

Students may further explore the same interests with the Senior Capstone experience.

What are the requirements & deliverables?

Students who are accepted as Villa Visionaries must maintain a GPA of 3.5 during their sophomore, junior, and senior year.

Villa Visionaries are expected to take 3 AP classes in any subject, at any time, between freshmen and senior years.

The Villa Visionary Program is a significant undertaking that will require approximately 5 to 10 hours of work each week

Villa Visionaries should be prepared to create/present the following:

  • Portfolio:  May include event summaries, reflections, skills discovered and/or honed, and research.
  • Multimedia Presentation: share new knowledge of an audience of peers, families members, faculty, and staff.
