Villa Maria will administer the High School Placement Test (HSPT) as our Entrance-Scholarship Exam on Saturday, September 27  and Sunday, October 19. 

Register for the Exam: 

• If your daughter is not able to join us for the Villa Maria Entrance-Scholarship exams, we do accept HSPT scores taken at other high schools.
• Only prospective students submitting HSPT scores from Villa Maria or another high school are eligible for consideration for an academic scholarship.
• Scores must be received by the application deadline of November 5th for scholarship consideration. 
• We strongly encourage students to take the exam twice, once during our testing dates and at another area high school. 
• The admissions committee will accept the highest HSPT score submitted; we do not super score exams. 
• HSPT result processing may vary; if testing elsewhere, please confirm with the testing location to ensure scores will be received by the application deadline. 
• NEW for 2025-26: Villa Maria is now pleased to accept the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) taken at another high school or testing facility. The exam results must be received no later than Wednesday, November 5.

Please note: The HSPT is an important indication of future academic success at Villa Maria. For accepted students, the HSPT score will be used by our academic departments to inform placement.

Villa Maria requires the following application materials for an applicant to be considered for admission. All materials should be submitted through the admissions checklist via our Admissions Portal by logging into your account. Please note that an online application must be completed in order to access the Admissions Portal.

• Submit the Student Application Essay Prompts* by the application deadline, November 5. Please note, until we receive your daughter's responses,  her application will be considered incomplete and cannot be reviewed for admission.
• Send our Applicant Recommendation Form to your 7th OR 8th grade math/science teacher AND English/social studies teacher through our Admissions Portal. The teacher should complete the online form as soon as possible.
• Send our Request for Release of Information Form to your current school through our Admissions Portal. The school should send a copy of the information requested as soon as possible.
• Submit the Parent Statement to provide more information about your student. 
• Ask your current school to upload a copy of your 8th Grade 1st Quarter/Trimester Report Card through our Admissions Portal as soon as it is available.
• If applicable, upload the most recent copy of your Psycho-educational Evaluation, IEP, 504, or Qualified School Educational Plan through our Admissions Portal as soon as possible (or prior to the Entrance-Scholarship Exam if extended time is requested).

* Please note: we expect applicants to express themselves authentically and in their own voice in their responses to application questions. An applicant’s unique perspective and life experiences distinguish her from other applicants. Villa Maria offers financial aid through Marian Grants to families who demonstrate financial need, complete the necessary application, and submit the required forms by the deadline. Villa Maria uses the online service Clarity to process financial aid applications.

Applications will be available on September 2, 2025. It is best to complete the process by the application deadline of November 5, 2025. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
