Entrance-Scholarship Exam
Villa Maria administers the High School Placement Test (HSPT) as our Entrance-Scholarship Exam
We encourage 7th grade students to join us for Villa Maria’s HSPT PRACTICE EXAM this spring!
7th grade students may take the exam at Villa Maria as follows:
Saturday, March 21
9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Note: All parents/guardians are invited to attend a one-hour informational session at 9:00 a.m. on the test day in the Marian Center Auditorium.
The HSPT is an important indication of future academic success at Villa Maria. For accepted students, the HSPT results will be used by our departments to inform placement. Results of the exam are mailed shortly after results are received.

Alternative Exam Options
Submitting HSPT Scores from Other High Schools
If you are not able to join us for the Villa Maria Entrance-Scholarship exams, we do accept HSPT scores taken at other high schools. Only prospective students submitting HSPT scores from other high schools are eligible for consideration for an academic scholarship. Scores must be received by the application deadline (in early November) for scholarship consideration.

We strongly encourage students to take the exam twice, once during our testing dates and at another area high school.

The admissions committee will accept the highest HSPT score submitted; we do not super score exams.

HSPT result processing may vary; if testing elsewhere, please confirm with the testing location to ensure scores will be received by the application deadline.

Villa Accepts the ISEE Exam
Villa Maria is pleased to accept the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) taken at another high school or testing facility. The exam results must be received no later than our early November deadline. (Exact date to follow.)
