AACA League Update – August 18
The AACA League has decided that member schools will play a league-only schedule. Tryouts will begin on September 21st. League competitions in cross country, field hockey, soccer, and volleyball begin the week of October 12th. With accommodations in place, competitions in golf may start on September 24th and tennis may start on September 28th.
Fall Sports Update – August 7
The PIAA announced a two-week pause on the fall sports season. The board will meet again on August 21st. Please see the full release here.
Tryouts will no longer begin on Monday, August 17th. The official start date for practice is now Monday, August 24th.
- The Fall Sports Parent/Athlete Meeting scheduled for August 17th at 7:00 pm will be rescheduled.
Until we receive more information after the August 21st meeting, Villa Maria will continue to hold voluntary workouts. Please register for Cheer, Cross Country, Golf, Field Hockey, Soccer, Tennis and Volleyball through Family ID. The sports fee is not collected at the time of registration. Coaches will contact you with details about voluntary workouts.
During this uncertain time, Villa Maria remains committed to the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of interscholastic athletics, and our primary goal is to provide opportunities for physical activity, camaraderie, and competition in the safest way possible. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we weather these challenges together. We will share more information as soon as it is available.
All potential fall athletes must complete the information requested on Family ID through the link below by August 1st. If you have previously registered for any programs through Family ID, please use the same username and password. You will not have to pay the athletic fee through Family ID. You will be billed through FACTS once rosters are finalized.

The PIAA sports physical form is required for participation in PA sports. This sports physical is valid for one year, June 1, 2020 – May 31, 2021. In order for the physical to be valid for one year, your daughter’s physician must sign the “PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation” (page 6) form. If your physician has a physical form that their practice uses, please ensure that they also sign the PIAA form.

Keep in mind that your daughter will not be permitted to tryout without completion of this form and Family ID. Please do not send your daughter to tryouts without having them completed, as she will be asked to sit and watch. This policy is established in the best interest of the health and well-being of your daughter
