The Indoor Track and Field program focuses on conditioning, strength, mobility and injury prevention through functional weight training, low impact movement in the pool, and multi-surface cardiovascular conditioning.2020 Schedule
The team is made up of athletes participating in all year long track and field who are looking to improve their technique, fitness level and compete at the Indoor State Championships to multi-sport athletes who join to stay in shape and get ready for their respective outdoor sport seasons.
In 2019 our 4 x 800m relay team qualified for the PTFCA Indoor State Championships at Penn State. We also had #1 ranked freshman hurdler in PA.
The goal for 2020 is to keep on developing our young athletes and to qualify in multiple events for the Indoor State Championships
Coach Maggie Brill
Maggie Brill began coaching at Villa Maria in 2017, after having worked on a collegiate level at the University of Chicago and Ursinus College as an Assistant XC and Men’s and Women’s Sprints and Hurdles coach.
Coach Brill is USATF Level II certified in sprints and hurdles, and is working toward her Level III certification. She is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and works as an individual trainer with college and elite high school athletes in multitude of sports.
As an athlete, Coach Brill was a 5-time All-American sprinter at North Central College (’99), and a 4 x 400m NCAA Champion. She continues to compete for the women master’s team Athena. Her master’s distance PRs are 5k 18:48, ½ marathon 1:26.13, marathon 3:05.11.
