Your involvement is the force behind the success of our social, service and fundraising events scheduled throughout the year. New Parent Welcome

This event kicks off our school year. All new parents are invited to a light reception and information session held at VMA. New parents get to meet and mingle with the parents of their daughter’s classmates. A formal invitation will be sent out with an agenda for the evening.

Back to School Social
Sunday, September 12th, 10:00 am – Informational sessions and classroom visits
Welcome back to school parents! This is your opportunity to walk in your daughters’ shoes, meet teachers, visit classrooms, and learn about the VMA curriculum. Meet new friends and catch up with old.

Grandparents Day (Freshman and Sophomore Grandparents for this year only)
Saturday, September 18th, 3:00 pm
All freshman and sophomore grandparents are invited to campus for Mass, light refreshments, and a tour of the campus with their granddaughters. It is a fun day to welcome our grandparents to the Villa campus and the Villa family. Our students take pride in showing their grandparents around campus!

Homecoming 2021
Saturday, October 9th, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
A reunion for the entire Villa family–students, alumnae, parents, and past parents! The day’s events begin with sporting events–field hockey, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. Enjoy a barbecue, beer garden (21 and older), and music. Games and fun filled activities will be provided for all the kids.

Fashion Show
Sunday, October 24th, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
The Fashion Show is a long-standing tradition at VMA. This year’s event will be held at White Manor Country Club and will highlight the upcoming fashions modeled by our senior parents and students. There will be an auction and many vendors available for a quick shopping spree. Lunch included. Many volunteers are needed to make this event spectacular!

Sneaker Collection
Week of November 8th, Before School
Donate your shoes for a good cause! Students are asked to drop off donated shoes in the collection bins the week of November 8th. In exchange, they can wear their sneakers to school on Friday, November 12th. All styles of shoes, not just sneakers, that are new or gently used will be donated to Soles4Souls.
Volunteers needed to collect, sort, and distribute the collected sneakers.

The Shoppes at Villa
Saturday, November 13th, 9:30am – 2:30pm
Return to Green Tree for a shopping extravaganza or as a vendor. In its 11th year, the Shoppes offer beautiful gifts for your family and friends. Maybe you’ll find a little something for yourself! This year there will be many new vendors as well as vendors you’ve loved in the past. The Shoppes is open to the public with FREE admission and is run by our Alumnae. Proceeds benefit the Sister Mary Kelly Scholarship Fund.

Campus Christmas Decorating

Anne Powers will be decorating the campus for Christmas and will need the help of many Christmas elves to transform the school to brighten the halls for the holidays. Consider volunteering your time and talents!

Tree Lighting
Sunday, November 28th, at 7:00 pm
Villa Maria opens the school’s celebration of the Christmas season with the annual tree lighting. Students, staff, and family meet in the cafeteria with traditional carols. After hanging ornaments on the tree to represent each class, and lighting the first candle on the Advent wreath, the group will process out to the parking lot and gather around the evergreen tree out front. Girls read several brief reflections on the meaning of the Christmas tree and its lights before flipping the switch to light the tree for the first time. All adjourn to the cafeteria for refreshments. All are welcome and this is a free event.

Painting with a Villa Twist
Thursday, January 2oth, at 7:00 pm
All parents are welcome to attend Painting with a Villa Twist on the campus of VMA! We will also be collecting for a local charity. Come out during Catholic Schools week to catch up with friends, enjoy wine and cheese and work on your artistic expression. No painting experience necessary. FEST 2022 (Fostering Educational Support Together)

FEST is Villa Maria Academy’s largest event fundraiser of the year. This year’s event will be held virtually. Many hands are needed to make this a successful event. The FEST committee will be reaching out to local businesses, friends of Villa, and current parents for gifts and sponsorships/ads. Mother-Daughter Communion Breakfast

Mark your Calendars to attend the Mother Daughter Communion Mass and Breakfast! Mothers, daughters, aunts, sisters, and grandmothers come together to share in a lovely tradition, celebrating Mass and enjoying a bountiful Sunday breakfast together. The event takes place on campus with Mass beginning at 10:00 am followed by breakfast and festivities. Senior Mothers and their daughters will be honored at this year’s event and wished a fond farewell as the seniors set off on their new adventure in their life’s journey.

Class of 2026 Information Night

The VMAPA welcomes the incoming freshman to Villa Maria Academy and offers them assistance in navigating VMAHS. This is an informational night for the incoming class of freshman students and their parents. We need a few volunteers to introduce the Villa Maria Academy Parent Association and our role here at Villa.

Uniform Sale
June 2022, date and time TBD
All departing seniors are asked to donate their gently used uniforms back to Villa. They are cleaned and resold to the underclassmen at a discounted price. The sale takes place in the school cafeteria.

The VMA Book Store
The Villa Maria School Store is open for business in the Marian Center, offering Villa spirit wear, school supplies, balloons, snacks, and other fun Villa items like blankets and bags. These are volunteer hours.
M – F in the morning – 7:20 to 8:15 am
M – Thurs in the afternoon 2:40 – 4:00 pm
Fri. afternoon from 2:40 to 3:30 pm
The store will also be open during special events on campus.

Wednesday Morning Rosary
The VMAPA invites you to join with other parents to pray the Rosary on Wednesday mornings at 8:15 am in the Chapel. We pray for our daughters, the faculty, staff, administration, and all the families in the Villa Maria community. No experience necessary! We will provide the rosaries and the “How to ….”

Villa Maria Academy Outreach Ministry
VMA has a wonderful program in place to help families that need assistance due to unforeseen circumstances anytime throughout the year. We are here to help with meals, carpools, and above all, prayer. All correspondence is private. Private submissions or requests can be made online. God’s Peace.
