Hone your writing skills and find outlets for literary expression in student publications, including our literary magazine, student newspaper, and yearbook.
The Villa Voice student-run newspaper informs the Villa Maria community about student accomplishments, school events, and local and world issues. The staff meets weekly to brainstorm ideas, edit articles and learn journalism techniques. Students can be involved in every aspect of producing the newspaper, including interviewing, layout, design, photography, writing, and editing. The newspaper publishes up to three issues per year. Sophomore, junior, and senior students who create superior work are recommended to the VMA Quill and Scroll committee for membership in Villa Maria’s chapter of the Quill and Scroll Writing Honor Society.
The Reflections staff creates a book that captures the various aspects of the school community throughout the year. The students are involved in every aspect of the yearbook, including selecting the theme, designing sections and pages, selecting photographs, editing, and writing.
The theme for the 2023-24 Reflections yearbook, pictured at left, is Charting the Course.
Sophomore, junior and senior students who produce superior work are recommended to the VMA Quill and Scroll committee for membership in the Villa Maria chapter of the Quill and Scroll Writing Honor Society.
