Study Skills 101 for Incoming Villa Maria 9th Graders
Monday through Thursday, July 28 - 31, 2025
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Need to brush up on your notetaking skills? What about your planner? Do you need some help with goal setting and time management? If so, this camp is for you. This session is for incoming Villa 9th graders and will help with high school preparation.
Topics covered include notebook organization (binders, spiral notebooks, apps, Google Drive), in-class note taking best practices (hand written vs. digital notes, reorganizing notes), notes at home and studying best practices, and planning/goal setting (setting up a planner, determining a study schedule). Villa Maria Music Summer Camp (Orchestra) camp is perfect for all level students. Whether a beginner or who is looking to enhance their overall playing or preparing for competitions and auditions. Daily activities include solo coaching, sectionals, full orchestra rehearsals, and stretching/walk breaks, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching experience. Participants will have the opportunity to work with faculty members from the VMAHS Music Department and the Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra.
Registrants are required to submit an audition video or schedule an in-person audition with Ms. Leah. The camp will conclude with a final Concert at 4 PM on the last Friday, showcasing the students' hard work and musical growth.

VMA SUMMER CAMP SERIES REFUND POLICY
(Note: This policy does not apply to Future Stars Day Camps; please see the Future Stars website for additional information on cancellations/refunds.)
Villa Maria Academy will refund the full registration if registration is cancelled three weeks prior to the camp start date.
For cancellations closer to the camp start date:
50% refund up to 14 days prior to camp start date.
25% refund up to 10 days prior to camp start date
No refund offered for any cancellation 5 days prior or after the start of camp.
CANCELLATION POLICY
It is acknowledged that the class or camp is staffed and run for a minimum number of registrations. If a class needs to be cancelled by the school due to low enrollment or other reason, a full refund would be given to any registrant due to the school’s cancellation.
