Alumnae and Friends,
I am writing to tell you that we are postponing the class challenge March Madness competition. Once the dust settles and we return to our normal lives, we will think about rescheduling. Now is a time for us to slow down and count our blessings. In these challenging times we have to stick together and support our neighbors in any way we can. I truly believe that God gives us challenges like this to test our resolve and to make us appreciate the small blessings we receive every day. Our alumnae and friends are truly blessings to the Villa Maria community.
I smiled when I saw the video of the Italian apartment residents all on their balconies singing songs together. Would that have ever happened if the virus had not quarantined them? I don’t think so…they would have exchanged greetings on their way to work or back home from running errands. Sometimes crisis makes us re-evaluate our priorities.
So friends, thank you so much for all you do for Villa and our students. Stay safe and hold you families a little closer. I will be in touch soon.
